Our monthly, "Why The Fuss?" class will explore a different culinary trend, fad, new way of cooking or eating that seems to be taking the world by storm. By taking an objective look at each topic, we'll be able to decide for ourselves whether or not the latest and greatest is really worth our time, calories, and effort!

This month we'll take a look at Intermittent Fasting. Margaret Floyd, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, will guide us through the principals behind this schedule of eating, and answer questions, such as:

  • Should I do 24 hour fasts occasionally? What’s this 16/8 protocol people are on?
  • What if I work weird hours and train in the morning? Can I fast still?
  • Does fasting affect men and women differently?

In addition to Margaret's talk and discussion session, we'll demonstrate and taste a few recipes that mesh nicely with this eating schedule.
