Our monthly, "Why The Fuss?" class will explore a different culinary trend, fad, new way of cooking or eating that seems to be taking the world by storm. By taking an objective look at each topic, we'll be able to decide for ourselves whether or not the latest and greatest is really worth our time, calories, and effort!

This month we'll take a look at the Sugar Detox. Margaret Floyd Barry, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and Chef James Barry, will guide us through the principals behind this program, and answer questions, such as:

  • Why is a sugar detox good for me?

  • What are the do’s and don’t of the detox?

  • I’m a busy person, how would I find time to make special foods for the length of the detox?

In addition to James and Margaret's talk, we'll demonstrate and taste a few recipes that follow the sugar detox rules.
