Cookbook Club: Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables

DATE: Saturday, February 23rd, 6:30pm

Join us for the second Cookshop Cookbook Club! We will be hosting a monthly potluck dinner, where all attendees will bring a dish they made using a recipe from a selected cookbook.

For our February event, we’ll be cooking from Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables, by Joshua McFadden. Pick one up at Powell’s, online, or place a hold at your local library. We’ll also have a reference copy available at Cookshop if you need to take a peek. Specific recipe assignments will be doled out once you’ve registered. A small fee of $10 will cover bread and your first glass of wine, beer or water kefir at the dinner.

Here’s a snippet from the description:

“Each chapter begins with recipes featuring raw vegetables at the start of their season. As weeks progress, McFadden turns up the heat—grilling and steaming, then moving on to sautés, pan roasts, braises, and stews. His ingenuity is on display in 225 revelatory recipes that celebrate flavor at its peak.”
