What to expect:
Class includes all ingredients, recipes, tools and instruction.
Instruction via some demo and plenty of hands-on cooking.
Our recipes will include rice, raw fish, soy, and vegetables. Please inquire before registering if you are unsure if this class will be a good match for your dietary needs.
Plenty of sampling, plus recipes to take home.
Wine, beer, and kombucha available for purchase during class.

Aletha Thomas is a passionate culinary artist and educator living her dream on the lush island of Kauai. Originally from Southwest Portland, Aletha found her heart’s home in Hawaii.
As a Master Food Preserver and farm-to-table advocate, Aletha is dedicated to honoring the flavors of both regions she calls home. Her cooking style is a vibrant fusion of Pacific Northwest freshness and tropical island flair, always centered around the best local ingredients. Whether she’s teaching a class, preserving a harvest, or preparing a meal for loved ones, Aletha brings warmth, creativity, and a deep respect for food traditions to everything she does.
