Join Meredith and a special guest chef for a monthly class geared for middle schoolers. Each class will cover two projects based on techniques and flavors from around the world.
We will learn how to make a signature dish from a different country or region of the world, as well as a simple weeknight meal. Our goal is to get kids excited about food, up their confidence, and be able to make the family dinner!
This class on Saturday, April 6th will be all about TAMALES, and our guest chef will be Fabiolla Donnelly, chef, recipe developer and culinary instructor.
What to expect:
All ingredients, tools, recipes and instruction is included.
Class will cover knife skills, and lots of kitchen basics as we work though each recipe. No prior experience is necessary, but being open to trying new things is a must!
Dishes will be sampled throughout class, and some leftovers may go home with students to share with their family.
This series is geared towards kids in 6th - 8th grade. Please enquire if you have a 5th or 9th grader, and we can see if the class is a good fit.
