Summer Camp, Week 3 2024 gf/v friendly

  • Cookshop 2625 Southeast 26th Avenue Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

For the fifth year in a row, Cookshop will be partnering with Make Do Art Studio to bring you a summer filled with creativity in the kithcen and around the art table! One part of your child’s day will be spent cooking and preparing a variety food and snacks with Cookshop and the other half is spent making art with Make Do. We will be exploring a wide variety of media- everything from illustration, watercolor, collage and more!

In the kitchen, the week will be broken up into different “meals” (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, dessert), with cooking and baking projects that fall under each day’s category.

At the art table, we will be exploring many different mediums and techniques throughout the summer. In addition to cooking and art, there will be time for lots of fun art games, small projects, and sketchbook work in between. We learn and read a book about an artist or about art making each day, which provides inspiration for our projects. Campers also get plenty of time to run around, play games and have free play at nearby Piccolo Park.

PLEASE NOTE: if your child has any food allergies or intolerances, please contact us BEFORE registering to see if camp will be a good fit. This 3rd week of camp is our gluten free/vegan friendly week. While we are NOT a dedicated gluten free space, nor a 100% vegan kitchen, we plan to offer projects and ingredients that are a better fit for any gluten free and vegan kids. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Non gf/vegan kids are WELCOME to attend this week too!
