A monthly gathering for people who love to read, and want to make more time for it. Each month, we’ll take over a beautiful, cozy, or unexpected local space: a wine bar, coffee shop, bookstore, flower farm, garden, or other interesting Portland-area destination. For a few hours, settle into a comfortable chair or couch, order a drink, grab a snack, and simply read alongside other people who love books. There’s no assigned book, no required discussion, and no pressure to socialize — you can come alone, bring a friend, or meet someone new.
The setting is part of the experience. A winter evening might mean reading by a fireplace with a glass of wine; a summer gathering could be in a garden, on a patio, or surrounded by flowers. Each month offers a new place to discover, a few uninterrupted hours to read, and the simple pleasure of being in good company while doing something you love.
