Join pastry chef, Meredith Mortensen for a class all about puff pastry. This mythical dough, called pâte feuilletée in french, is made from four simple ingredients, but through technique and patience, becomes layered, flakey and delicious. Homemade puff pastry is a great weekend baking project, stores super well in your freezer, and can be used in so many sweet and savory applications!

In this class, you’ll learn all the tricks to making successful puff from scratch, along with several recipes to use your finished puff, including mushroom puffs and jam turnovers.

What to expect:

  • Class will include all instruction, tools, recipes and ingredients.

  • Our dough will contain wheat flour and butter.

  • There will be some demo, plus everyone will make their own dough to take home.

  • Class will end with generous samples of sweet and savory pastry, and each participant will leave with a bundle of puff pastry dough to use at home.
