This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wishing to up their game in the kitchen. We’ll start with proper hand positioning, knife safety and caring for your tools. We’ll also talk you through what you should, and shouldn’t include in your basic knife set at home. Everyone will get lots of time to practice as we guide you through the fundamental cuts, like julienne, dice, and mince, as well as different styles of cutting (like the slice, chop, and rock chop).
Please bring along a chef’s knife and pairing knife from home so we can asses your tools, and you can learn with what you will actually use day-to-day. Should you be in the market for a new knife, we’ll have some available for you to try out in various price ranges.
