Join us for the third Cookshop Cookbook Club! We will be hosting a monthly potluck dinner, where all attendees will bring a dish they made using a recipe from a selected cookbook.
For our February event, we’ll be cooking from Kachka: A Return to Russian Cooking, by Bonnie Frumkin Morales. Pick one up at Powell’s, online, or place a hold at your local library. We’ll also have a reference copy available at Cookshop if you need to take a peek. Specific recipe assignments will be doled out once you’ve registered. A small fee of $10 will cover bread and your first glass of wine, beer or water kefir at the dinner.
Here’s a snippet from the description:
“From bright pickles to pillowy dumplings, ingenious vodka infusions to traditional homestyle dishes, and varied zakuski to satisfying sweets, Kachka the cookbook covers the vivid world of Russian cuisine. More than 100 recipes show how easy it is to eat, drink, and open your heart in Soviet-inspired style, from the celebrated restaurant that is changing how America thinks about Russian food.”
