Cookshop Field Trip: A Midsummer Night Feast

Join us for a night at The Croft Farm for a Midsummer Night Feast. We’ll be led by Corey Pressman: chef, creative consultant, and storyteller extraodinaire. This will be a night of slowing down, cooking good food, telling stories, and enjoying the best of Oregon’s bounty.

Menu to include height of the season produce, picked right on Sauvie Island … grilled meats, bright salads, and fruit filled dessert. Each course will be paired with delicious wines from Oak Flat Vineyards.

What to expect:

  • Each student will enjoy some light nibbles upon arrival, plus sparkling water, and wine during a brief farm tour to start the class.

  • Class will include all instruction, tools, recipes, and ingredients.

  • There will be some demo, and some hands-on opportunities.

  • We will tour the Croft and learn about the animals and produce that abounds on the farm (chickens! ducks! alpacas! honeybees!!).

  • Class will end with a seated outdoor meal including wine pairings.

  • We will be joined by several storytellers throughout the evening.

  • Each participant will leave with a basket of produce harvested on the Island.

Date: Saturday 7/13/19

6pm - 10pm
